For many, issues involving transgender, Two-Spirit, and non-binary (T2SNB) employees in the workplace are new territory. Knowing how to support a T2SNB employee or navigating conflict on the topic of gender diversity may feel overwhelming to HR professionals. Learn more about the many invisible and unique challenges facing T2SNB employees at UBC. Deepen your understanding about what responsibilities managers and HR professionals have to T2SNB employees at different stages before, during, and after coming out at work.
The sessions have the following learning outcomes:
- Increased awareness and understanding of cultural and structural issues;
- Greater understanding and appreciation of the unique and prevalent discrimination that T2SNB employees face (including data specific to UBC); and
- Tangible actions that human resources can take to be more inclusive of gender diversity in their teams before, during, and after T2SNB employees come out at work.
