Audience: Faculty and Program Advisors and Administrators who currently perform student year-level promotion.

- Class Standings Overview
- How to Find Students in a Program of Study
- How to Find a Student's Class Standing (Year-Level)
- How to Override a Class Standing
- How to Review Class Standings and Changes to Class Standings
- How to Review Attempted Credits and Time-in Program
- How to View the Completion Status of Academic Requirements
- How to Review Specific Course Grades
- How to Assess Credits in Residency by Program of Study
Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Describe when and how Workday calculates a class standing for a student.
- Understand how and when a class standing is calculated for a student in Enrolment, Promotion and Demotion cohorts.
- Identify which of Latest Class Standing or Class Standing at Start of Period is used for some key UBC processes.
- Find a student(s) in a given program of study based on a set of criteria.
- Find a student's academic history on their record.
- Identify and name the student's Latest Class Standing on their record in Workday.
- Identify and name the student's Class Standing at Start of Period on their record in Workday.
- Describe, in Workday's terms, where a student can find information about their year level on their Workday Student record.
- Describe where a student can find their Latest Class Standing and Class Standing at Start of Period on their record.
- Override a class standing for an individual student, including adding and removing students from cohorts to change the Latest Class Standing, and completing the override on the record.
Run reports to:
- Review class standings and changes to class standings (Latest Class Standing and Class Standing at Start of Period) within a specified frame.
- Review attempted credits and time-in-program.
- Review the completion status of academic requirements on the Academic Progress Report.
- Review specific course grades, including missing marks and NS grade standings.
- Identify credits completed in residency by program of study.
