Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course you will be able to:
Academic Standings Foundations:
- Define and describe available Academic Standings and additional period honours (UBC term: Academic Achievement Designation) standings in Workday.
- Describe the impact of missing grades and NS (not submitted) grades on the calculation of academic standings.
- Describe the impact of other non-numeric course outcomes (e.g., W, SD, Cr/D/F, T, AUD) on the calculation of academic standings.
- Understand how academic standing outcomes relate to Program of Study statuses, and how and when students are dismissed.
Navigation:
- Find a student(s) in a given program of study based on a set of criteria.
- Find a student's academic history on their record.
- Describe in Workday's terms where a student can find their academic history on their Workday Student's record.
- Identify and name the student's academic standing for the current and past academic periods, including identifying how academic standings were converted from SISC to WD terminology.
- Identify and name the student's academic achievement designation (WD term: Additional Period Honours) for the current and past academic periods, if any, including identifying how academic achievement designations were converted from SISC to WD terminology.
- Describe in Workday's terms where a student can find their academic standing and additional period honours standing on their Workday Student's record.
Academic Standing Evaluations
- Calculate, review, and post an academic standing and/or additional period honours standing for an individual student or in bulk using Post-Grading Jobs.
- Find grade changes for students and update the academic standing as necessary.
- Undo posting of an academic standing and/or additional period honours standing for an individual student.
- Override an academic standing and/or additional period honours standing for an individual student.
