About this workshop 
Established by the Mental Health Commission of Canada, the Working Mind is an evidence-based training program designed to address and promote mental health and reduce stigma in a workplace setting. It includes scenario-based practical applications, custom videos of people with lived experience of mental illness, participant reference guides, and related handouts. 
Who is this for?
Managers, supervisors, and team leads.
Date and Location
Dates: (Attendance required for all sessions). June 22, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., June 29, 9:00 a.m.  - 11:00 a.m., June 30, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 2022
Location: Zoom webinar
Participants must attend all sessions. Participants will not be admitted if they join after the first 15 minutes of the course has passed and will not be eligible for a course certificate if they miss more than 30 minutes of material.
Your facilitators
This session will be facilitated by Amanda Swoboda, Wellbeing Specialist for UBC HR and Truelove Twumasi, Workplace Wellbeing Programs Specialist. Amanda and Truelove are certified Working Mind trainers through the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
What will you learn?
Participants will learn how to:
  • Support their employees’ mental health and well-being
  • Enable all employees to be more fully productive
  • Ensure the workplace climate respects and involves all employees, including those with mental health problems
  • Encourage employees to seek help for mental health problems
