About this workshop:
Do you struggle with the inner critic in your head that constantly says you aren’t doing enough or aren’t good enough? If so, you aren’t alone.
In this workshop on self-compassion, we look at ways to put healthy boundaries around our inner critic when difficult events unfold. Instead of an incessant need to drive forward and achieve more, we can look at ways to utilize self-compassion to permit us to rest and accept ourselves in a way that transcends what we look like, where we work, and the many other expectations that we navigate.
This session won’t only focus on the concepts, we will also put our understanding into to action. First, we will learn about and notice the “critic” that resides in our mind. We will then move to an experiential session where participants will have an opportunity to try self-compassion techniques and engage in discussion with other attendees. It will be informative, fun, and possibly a little bit awkward - but in a good way.
Important notes:
- The session will be recorded and the slides will be shared.
- There will be one optional breakout room activity.
- Closed captioning can be enabled.
