About this workshop:

What comes to your mind when you think about grief? We know that we grieve when there has been a death, but many of us may be less familiar with the experience of grief that comes up for non-death losses in our everyday lives.

Some examples of non-death losses:

  • Loss of identity, language or cultural connection
  • Leaving one life stage to enter another
  • Friendships ending or drifting apart
  • Your health if you’re facing chronic pain or illness

If you’re curious about learning more about more invisible and less commonly discussed types of grief that you may be experiencing, this workshop is for you. Together, we will explore when and how invisible and disenfranchised grief shows up in our everyday lives. Through case narratives, reflections, skills, and other unique tools this workshop will help you identify your experiences of grief, understand how they impact you and others, and strategies to heal.

Important notes:

  • The session will not be recorded, but the slides will be shared.
  • Participation will be via Zoom chat. There will not be breakout rooms.
  • Closed captioning can be enabled.

Optional post-workshop group connection session

Curious about diving deeper into the material from the workshop? Interested in smaller, more intimate discussions on the topic? Join us for a post-workshop group connection session. Capped attendance (maximum 20 people) will offer space to foster meaningful dialogue, allow time to talk with Meghan about the material, and discuss further reflection and growth.

Participants can expect to:

-Process personal experiences and insights through further discussions.
-Explore the nuances of the topics, with examples and case studies from Meghan for richer context.
-Continue engaging through reflective prompts — designed to build stronger connections to the material.

Note: These sessions are designed to be interactive and discussion-driven, focusing on conversation rather than formal presentations.
