Reset your Wellbeing: Rest, nourish & move this spring

Date: Monday, June 12, 2023 


Time: 11 am – 12 pm PST 


Audience: All faculty and staff at UBC Vancouver and Okanagan 


Location: Zoom. (Once you register, you will be directed to the course Canvas page where you can find the Zoom link.) 




In this 60-minute session, come learn about the foundations of health and create your own unique plan to reset your mind and body as the season comes to a close.  
    We will: 
    - Begin with a 5-minute guided mindfulness session. 
    - Discuss the evidence behind toxicity and cleansing in relation to both our mind and body. 
    - Explore the power of rest, nourishment and movement and choose which aspect(s) of your life you’d like to reset’ or intentionally focus on this spring season. 
    - Leave with 1-3 changes you will implement before the summer solstice. 
    - Feel ready to walk back into your workday with a sense of calm and self-care.  


About Your Facilitator: 


Thara Vayali’s (she/they) is a UBC Alum with 10 years of clinical experience, focused on gastrointestinal and hormonal health and her passion is scaling body literacy through patient-centred health technology. With a background in nutritional science, environmental education, naturopathic medicine and 20 years of experience teaching hatha and vinyasa yoga, she speaks internationally and writes about health and wellness, stress, resilience, empathy, and mindfulness.


Thara’s mission is to change the way healthcare is delivered through her work as a medical advisor for multiple digital health organizations and in her role as the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of hey freya, a health tech company that provides women’s health tracking beyond fertility and test-tailored herbal & nutrient solutions for busy women under stress.
