This two-part approach offers a chance to explore your understanding of interpersonal dynamics. The DISC assessment measures your personality and work style across four key dimensions, each represented by a letter: D, I, S and C.
Part 1: Take the DISC Assessment prior to the workshop. The report will be shared on the day of the workshop.
Part 2: Attend the DISC Workshop
Dive into your assessment results and learn practical strategies for building stronger connections.
During the workshop, you’ll:
- Discover your DISC style
- Understand other DISC styles
- Learn how to build more effective relationships
Through interactive activities and your personal DISC assessment, you’ll uncover insights about your behavior and communication styles. Discover how to adapt your approach to improve your interactions and build more meaningful connections in your daily life. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to gain practical strategies for better understanding yourself and others.

FACILITATORS:
Dr. Shweta Jaiswal Thakur, specializes in leadership development, bringing over 16 years of experience in corporate training, consulting, and research. Currently, she works as a Workplace Learning and Employee Engagement Consultant at UBCO, where she leads initiatives to enhance professional capabilities.
L&D is her passion, and her innovative solutions have received recognition from Richard Ivey, Canada, The Case Center, UK, and Harvard Business Review Case Publishing. Dr. Thakur enjoys sharing her knowledge and has taught at various B-Schools, contributing to a range of publications. She holds several certifications, including DISC, Emotional Intelligence, and Leadership Perspective, as well as a Master Career Coach certification, reflecting her commitment to ongoing growth in the field of people development.
Nicole Yearwood, is an HR Associate at the Okanagan campus, having joined in 2021 to contribute to the Advisory team. Passionate about fostering personal and professional growth, she provides strategic guidance tailored to the unique needs of individuals.
As a certified DISC facilitator, Nicole specializes in utilizing personality assessments to enhance team effectiveness and communication. She holds a Bachelor of Management degree from UBC Okanagan and is currently pursuing her CPHR designation, further strengthening her expertise in the field of human resources.
