In times of change and uncertainty, workplace culture can sometimes feel like a source of added stress or can be the source of resilience and support . This session helps you understand what truly shapes the culture around you, and how you can influence it from wherever you sit. In this session, you will learn practical ways to strengthen psychological safety, spot and reduce bias, and create space for open and respectful dialogue, even during challenging times. Whether you’re navigating a new team, adapting to changing leadership, or simply seeking to feel more grounded and connected, this session offers a fresh perspective and tools to help you thrive within your workplace community. The session is designed to spark discussion among peers and connect ideas to real workplace experiences, so come ready to reflect and share.

Ester Pike is the Director of Occupational Psychology for Action Edge Executive Development, CEO of Fledge Solutions, and a Development and Delivery Specialist for Okanagan College’s InspirED department. A seasoned consultant and trainer, she specializes in human factors, psychometrics, and organizational culture, helping executives and mid to large-size firms across North America thrive.
Dr. Shweta Jaiswal Thakur is a Workplace Learning and Engagement Consultant at UBCO with 16+ years of experience in leadership development, training, and research. Her work has been recognized by Richard Ivey, The Case Centre, and Harvard Business Review. She holds certifications in DISC, Emotional Intelligence, StrengthsFinder, Organizational Coaching, and Master Career Coaching, and has taught at leading business schools worldwide.
