Full course description
The DSO Computer Deployment course is meant as a companion to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on hardware procurement, SCCM, and JAMF. It features several modules offering guidelines, best practices and strategies, common pitfalls and how to avoid them, and suggestions for first-time setup of both Windows and Mac desktops or laptops at UBC IT Desktop Services. As it is a companion to the SOPs, it is best taken in conjunction with the respective SOPs pertaining to each section. At the conclusion of the course, a brief multiple-choice quiz will be assessed to ensure that the material has been understood at a significant level. Due to the ever-evolving nature of computer deployment procedures and mechanisms at UBC IT, the course will endeavour to remain as up-to-date as possible, but if any parts remain within the course that seem obsolete, please inform your Team Lead and/or a KMWG member.
