This course will help prepare admin and instructors to run these courses after launch.

Session Date:

March 6, 2020 at 11:00am - 12:30pm

Session Topic:

Each team will be provided a step-by-step guide through the steps that their courses will take in Canvas and Catalog. Each person will work through

  1.  The learner registration and learning path
  2.  Instructor and admin steps
  3.  Reviewing the learner completion status

The process will familiarize each person with necessary elements of Canvas and Catalog. It will also be a way to review that course for accuracy.

Session Style:

The session will begin with approximately 20 minutes of instruction, but it will primarily be self-directed learning. Each person will have their own guide and work independently (or with their unit team) to complete it. WPL team members will be available for questions and support. This will be a key time to work through your course with live support.

Preparation Required:

  1.  Ensure that you have the necessary admin or instructor privileges according to your role.
  2.  Review your courses and communicate any concerns between March 2-March 5.

Course content will be finalized on March 2nd, ending the configuration freeze. We highly recommend that you review your all of your courses between March 2 and March 5 for completeness and accuracy. This is also the best window to update the courses as necessary.

Concerns or issues can be sent to wpl.support@ubc.ca and will be addressed in the order received.

In doing this, your courses will be as close to complete as possible for March 6 review and training.
