DESCRIPTION:

This course details the pupose of performance review and the preparation that is needed for delivering an effective performance review. The course provides a strength-approach to perforance review and toolkits that will help you navigate the different components of a successful performance review. Successful completion of this course will arm the new and potential supervisors with the knowledge to conduct constructive and motivative performance conversation and management.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the end of this short on-demand course, participants will:

• Understand the role and strategy for perforamnce review as part of the UBC Professional Development Framework.
• Be familiar with and understand the preparation that is needed for a successful performance review at UBC.
• Be able to plan and execute preparation tasks, and communicate with your supervisee about what to expect from the performance review. 

New and potential Team Leads of the FD departments are required to take this course
