Workshop Details

DATE:  Wednesday, December 9, 2020

LOCATION: Zoom

TIME: 10:00AM-11:30AM

DESCRIPTION:

Join us in a live hosted conversation with UBC colleagues and share your ideas and experiences when influencing from where you are versus a title, position or role. Grab a coffee and be prepared to participate in the dynamic café conversation format to leverage the wisdom in the (Zoom) room.  The format provides a place for each of us to share, to listen and to collectively increase our awareness of the ways we inspire and encourage one another towards a common purpose.

During this session participants will:

  • Discuss the ways in which we provide guidance, and encourage others,
  • Raise our awareness of how to continue to inspire each of us to learn and develop, and
  • Connect with colleagues across UBC to hear the ways we are already making an impact

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the end of this session, participants will:

  • Recognize their position of influence
  • Understand the varied ways in which influence can be enacted
  • Identify pathways and opportunities for continued learning
