Topic: Building Your Resilience at Work: Thriving in Times of Change (Part 1 & 2)
Date: Friday, March 11 and April 1, 2022 (*must attend both dates)
Resilience is central to adapting to change in uncertain times, supporting individual well-being at work and strengthening performance. This workshop includes practical strategies and tools that can be applied to work contexts immediately and a fillable personal workbook to track learning. You will benefit from individual results of an online assessment as a starting point for understanding your strengths and areas for growth. The delivery includes a variety of resources and approaches that encourage reflection, support peer exchange and stimulate on-going learning to benefit both well-being and performance. Workshop includes assessment, detailed personalized report and workbook.
At the end of this session, participants will:
o Gain practical tools to enhance your well-being, performance, and enjoyment at work while adapting to changing environments.
o Receive concrete feedback on your current self-assessed level of resilience from the Resilience @ Work online assessment
o Expand your understanding of the seven factors influencing your resilience
o Identify practical ways in which you can leverage your strengths to be proactive, productive, and healthy in turbulent times.
The personal report from the individual assessment will be provided to you directly from the facilitator and will not be shared with anyone else. Discussion questions are designed for you to choose what you wish to share during the session; you will not be asked to share your R@W results.
Materials for pre-work:
Registration must be confirmed 10 days prior to the workshop start date for each participant to complete the online assessment and receive their custom report.
Deena Boeck, MSc, is a passionate facilitator, trainer and coach committed to supporting the unique ways in which individuals and teams learn and thrive. Deena brings experience from a range of cultural and international settings and is committed to life-long learning, the importance of diversity and the benefits of embracing shared values to create respectful and engaged workplaces.
Throughout 16 years at UBC as an instructor and program director, she honed her skills in delivering engaging and relevant professional development across sectors. Deena is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and an accredited Resilience at Work Coach.
Rhonda L. Margolis, MA, EdD, PCC, is a consultant, coach, and facilitator with a passion for supporting individual and organizational change. As founder and principal of RLM Learning Innovations, she designs organizational training programs and provides coaching for leadership and team development. Rhonda is known for her commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of her work. She has been a core member of the instructional team with the UBC Certificate in Organizational Coaching since 2013.
Rhonda has a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy and a master of arts in Counselling Psychology. She is a Certified Executive Coach, a Certified Coaching Supervisor, an accredited Resilience at Work Coach, and has a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation with the International Coach Federation. Rhonda is an external coach with Coaching@UBC.

We cannot offer refunds for cancellations received less than 15 days before a course begins.
