About this program 

Sign up now for this exciting new two-part leadership series opportunity. Join UBC Workplace Wellbeing and Change Management professionals for a leadership development series focused on the drivers of effective change. Understand how psychological safety and wellbeing provide a necessary foundation for team agility, resilience and performance. Learn skills and tools to help navigate uncertainty and change in supportive and effective ways that can lead to positive and adaptive workplace cultures. 

 

We offer both virtual and in-person formats for all sessions. To ensure a seamless experience, we kindly ask you to choose one format and continue with it for both sessionsFor the most impactful experience, we recommend attending both sessions. Part 1: Leading Well  - A solid foundation  

Transform your leadership approach with Leading Well - A Solid Foundation. This engaging workshop will focus on leadership strategies, actions, and tools to better support mental health, resilience, and psychological safety from a systems perspective. These elements are foundational and imperative to ensuring that workplace environments are supportive, resilient and ready to adapt in the face of change. This session will not only look at individual skills and actions, but also actions and behaviours that can enhance wellbeing and productivity at a unit and organizational level.  

 

Part 2: Leading ChangeA human centered approach   

Building on the solid foundation of Part 1, this session will empower you to lead your team to thrive through change with confidence and empathy. Explore impactful models and theories of change, and learn how to effectively support individual and team responses during transitions.  Focus on ways to strengthen psychological safety and wellbeing, ensuring that your leadership is not only effective but also centered on the human experience. 

 

Join us to transform your leadership journey and inspire your team through every phase of change. 

 

Dates and times:  

  • Part 1: October 8th (virtual), 10-11:30am   

  • Part 2: November 20th (virtual), 10-11:30am   

 

Duration: 3 hours total across part 1 and 2 (1.5 hours each) 

Location: Synchronous virtual delivery  

Audience: For any faculty or staff member with leadership roles, responsibilities, and/or direct reports at UBC Vancouver and Okanagan. 

Delivery: Synchronous workshops with medium to high interactivity (large and small group discussions, activities, and breakouts).
