LOCATION: Technology Enterprise Facility (TEF) 3, Room 610, 6th Floor, 6190 Agronomy Road V6T 1Z3

DESCRIPTION: Let’s be real – we've all faced conflict in the workplace in some form or another. Not only is workplace conflict unpleasant and stressful to experience, but it also hampers creativity and productivity. At Conflict Theatre, we aim to shift the culture around workplace conflict by empowering UBC employees with communications tools and strategies for enabling authentic, productive communication. During this session, you will have the opportunity to practice these tools and strategies in a safe, exploratory environment using the tools and techniques of the theatre. You will be joined in this exploration by other faculty and staff from across the university and led by an expert in the field.

The conflict engagement skills, confidence, and empathy you will develop are valuable to any interpersonal relationship – from the workplace to the home. So, don’t hesitate! Bring your lunch and join us for an engaging, informative workshop.

INSTRUCTOR: Professor Tom Scholte is the Faculty Lead and Artistic Director of Conflict Theatre. He will be leading the workshop.
